Come out, Summer! You don´t have to hide anymore!

As today is the last day of February and winter is soon over- well I hope so- I am already dreaming of sun, warm temperatures and the sea.
In my opinion,  temperatures could rise  to 25- 30 degrees Celsius immediately and stay at this point!

To overcome the last cold days I got a nice prescription for everyone who is pining for warm rays of sunshine: 70s and 60s hippie music! :)

Listen to bands as Jefferson Airplane, Mammas& Pappas, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, Simon & Garfunkel, Janis Joplin,Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Grateful Dead, The Beatles (Magical Mystery Tour),Canned Heat and Jimi Hendrix at least once a day. Close your eyes while listening and dream away for some minutes. The best thing against depression and bad mood! ;) Peace& Love!

Some impressions of Woodstock attended by "Going up the Country" by Canned Heat!

Pssst..Listen!

Today I´ll tell you a secret!
Everytime I  write a post, I m listening to the music of the band I wanna write about! Now it´s revealed!

I am listening to The Smiths...so what does this say?
Right!
I´ll be writing about The Smiths in the next few sentences!

Well this band captured me in the last years...and I must confess I´ve  heard from them only 2 years ago...that´s sad, yes! But from this moment on I have been listening to them constantly.
I´m at all very into 80s bands at the moment. Starting with The Smiths, ending with New Order.
I don´t know but they have this coolness in their music. Not coolness how you would describe a nice pair of boots; No! It´s the clear sound that makes it!

Now back to Morrissey and his band! In my opinion they were the very first REAL indie band and nowadays a lot of bands are imitating their style. I don´t find this  bad! It´s kinda honouring The Smiths and their liability.
I love their sentimental but simple songs and Morrissey´s voice (especially when he does this belcanto thing). Walking down the street and listening to them on my ipod makes me feel like I am in an 80s movie..and I must admit that I would enjoy that!
